Panfilov’s 28 Men

Panfilov’s 28 Men

USSR, Late November, 1941. Based mostly on the account by reporter Vasiliy Koroteev that appeared within the Crimson Military’s newspaper, Krasnaya Zvezda, shortly after the battle, that is the story of Panifilov’s Twenty-Eight, a gaggle of twenty-eight troopers of the Crimson Military’s 316th Rifle Division, underneath the command of Common Ivan Panfilov, that stopped the advance on Moscow of a column of fifty-four Nazi tanks of the 11th Panzer Division for a number of days. Although armed solely with commonplace challenge Mosin-Nagant infantry rifles and DP and PM-M1910 machine weapons, all ineffective in opposition to tanks, and with wholly insufficient RPG-40 anti-tank grenades and PTRD-41 anti-tank rifles, they combat tirelessly and defiantly, with unusual bravery and unwavering dedication, to guard Moscow and their Motherland.
